  • 4 (6 ounce) skin-on salmon filets
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, ghee, olive oil or avocado oil
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter, ghee or avocado oil
  • Juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt to create the spice mix.
  2. Brush each salmon filet with melted butter or oil. Generously coat both sides with the spice mix.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add oil if necessary.
  4. Place salmon skin-side down in the skillet; cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy. Flip carefully and cook an additional 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and squeeze lemon juice over the filets. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
