  • 2½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1¾ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt until combined for the swirl.
  3. In another bowl, cream together cool softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla extract, egg, and yolk; mix well.
  4. Whisk dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, cornstarch, salt) separately and gradually add to wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough and cinnamon swirl on baking sheets; gently swirl together using a toothpick.
  6. Bake for about 11 minutes until edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
