  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

  • 4 – 5 cups powdered sugar

  1. Prepare the espresso by mixing instant espresso powder with warm water until dissolved. Allow to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream room temperature butter until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla extract, salt, and cooled espresso mixture with heavy cream. Mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add sifted powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, adjusting consistency with more heavy cream or powdered sugar as needed.
