  • 8 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup honey, warmed
  • 16 oz sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, frozen
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together warmed honey and sugar, then add eggs one at a time and mix in sour cream until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, vinegar, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle, fold and roll again to create layers; cut into strips and braid.
  5. Place in a greased baking dish and bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese with powdered sugar then folding in Cool Whip.
  7. Once cooled slightly, frost the babka generously and allow it to set before slicing.
