  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Fresh peaches (about 4 medium)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by combining butter, cream cheese, flour, sugar, and salt in a food processor. Pulse until a dough forms. Divide into two discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Roll out one disc of dough to 1/8-inch thickness on a floured surface. Use a round cutter to cut out circles.
  4. Mix peaches with brown sugar, cinnamon, almond extract, and salt for the filling.
  5. Place filling on each dough round, fold over to seal edges with a fork, and create ventilation slits.
  6. Brush tops with an egg wash and sprinkle with sanding sugar if desired.
  7. Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
