Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each slice of bread and place on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. In the same skillet, add white wine (or chicken broth) along with remaining butter. Simmer for 1-2 minutes before mixing in lemon juice and red pepper flakes.
  6. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, sprinkle with parsley, and serve alongside warm garlic bread.
