Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare garlic bread by spreading garlic butter on bread slices. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, add to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  5. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and white wine (or broth). Simmer for 1-2 minutes, then stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet to coat in sauce; sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
