  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped caramel squares
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture along with chocolate chips, caramel pieces, and pecans (reserve some add-ins for topping).
  5. Use a cookie scoop to form dough balls and place on the baking sheet. Top with reserved add-ins.
  6. Bake for 10–14 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on the sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
